Nicknamed the “President’s chair” after President … more A classic pair of stick reed rattan chairs in an over-sized art deco style. Nicknamed the “President’s chair” after President Franklin Roosevelt (FDR) used the same type of furniture aboard his presidential yacht, the USS Potomac, beginning in the late 1930s. Exact age and maker of this pair is unknown but they have survived many years with great resilience so we know the quality is excellent. Selling as frames only (no cushions) and they are strong and sturdy. These have been painted (probably more than once) in a creamy white color. less
