These are nine prints of the original twelve accompanied by the legend of the collection (slightly smaller format) which reads opera litografica del pittore luigi giarré contenente le più belle razze di cavalli conosciute in europa expressed in the following order i cavallo normando ii called arabian iii called english (runner) iv called spanish v neapolitan horse vi called egyptian vii roman horses viii turkish horse ix tartar horse x called tuscan xi called german xii english horses florence 1822 sold at giarré’s studio near the grand duke’s square. The prints are in good condition, with a wide margin and show minimal signs of blooming in some. They are presented within a molded wooden frame lacquered in sienese yellow.
