The veined marble base measures 6 1/2” x 8 3/4” and I am not certain it isn’t a marriage from looking at the hardware that attaches it. Could be it is just new hardware replacing old. The light cord is I. Good condition and the lamp turns on and off with a toggle switch on the cord. The metal on the lamp may be bronze but also could be just good patina. less
