The color is a teal green, I think you’d call it. It is velvet. We have used it sparingly for 5 years. It is in good condition. There is wear expected with light use and age. Mostly what I see is rub markings to the velvet from me rubbing it to get out the odd stain. This is a sofa worthy of recovering, if you choose, but I’d say it has lots of miles left in the current fabric. Also, the lumbar pillow cover is included but not the insert. less
