Only the most skilled metalsmiths could craft such a well-balanced kettle from solid brass, then line it with tin inside, and finally chisel and engrave the exterior all around ~ on the lid, even the handle ~ to such a degree of artistry. Grandiose urn, foliate and scrollwork motifs are the themes, with subtle flowers placed at the top of the swiveling handle, the knob and lid, and even more amazing, on the heads of the rivets!
