This is a Vintage Georgian style double pedestal Chippendale dining table with cabriole ball and claw designed legs. Exquisite decorative … more This is a Vintage Georgian style double pedestal Chippendale dining table with cabriole ball and claw designed legs. Exquisite decorative carved banding encircles the underside of the table. The table measures 44” x 67 ¾” and a height of 30″ with no leaves. Two 18” leaves are available. Table is shown with two leaves in place and the maximum length is 103 ¾” with both leaves installed. Seating for 8 is comfortable with a knee clearance of 26 5/8”. We know that based on the number imprinted on the Mahogany manufacturer label affixed to other pieces of furniture in the same set, this table was manufactured by the Mount Airy Chair Company in Mount Airy North Carolina. This table was purchased as part of a complete dining room set composed of this exquisitely designed table, 6 chairs, a buffet and a china cabinet in the early 1980’s from an estate sale in the St. Francis Wood area of San Francisco. There are some scratches underneath or bottom side of the table and some furniture rub marks on some areas of the edge detail as noted in the photos.Six dining chairs (2 arm, 4 armless), a buffet and china cabinet are being sold separately should you desire one or all of the other pieces. less
