The small chest of drawers has been painted a light blue with darker blue highlights on the molding, feet and top. The overall appearance is that of a simple, yet very decorative piece that has soft tones and would fit pretty much anywhere, while also providing useful storage. The three drawers are all inset and decorated with a simple hand-carved molding in the shape of a rhombus, which helps provide some depth. The top is composed of a single, thick, board with straight edges nailed to the case. A piece of angular molding was placed underneath the top to make the piece flow better. The base is also decorated by molding, and the nightstand sits on tapered bun feet.This is a small, well-built piece that will add a touch of color without taking over the room. less
