New York, printed in Japan in 1984, with an introduction by Tom Wolfe.Anna – Lou ” Annie ” Leibovitz ( B. 1949 ) is an American portrait photographer. She is best known for her engaging portraits, particularly of celebrities, which often feature subjects in intimate settings and poses. Leibovitz’s polaroid photo of John Lennon and Yoko Ono, taken five hours before Lennon’s murder, is considered one of Rolling Stone Magazine’s most famous cover photographs. The Library of Congress declared her a ” Living Legend “, and she is the first woman to have a feature exhibition at Washington’s National Portrait Gallery.The rare out of print 1st edition photography book measures 9″ W X 12″ H X 5.8” D, with 142 pages.It is in excellent clean vintage condition consistent with age and very light signs of handling.
